The River

during our staff conference, jon's parents came in town to keep the kids.
we were super duper busy, but we still managed to get away together a couple of times.
one afternoon we popped up to the poudre river to play and relax.





the water was ice.



jon challenged jack to a head dunk competition.

some kayakers pulled right up.





and rowan ate plenty of dirt as usual.

Aunt Allison

who kept those big boys while jon and i were romping on the beach?



why aunt allison of course!



she cooked, she cleaned, she changed poopie diapers...need i say more? and she didn't stop all of that once we got back. why do i not have a full-time nanny?! oh yeah...we're in full-time ministry.



she took the boys to our local (and world's coolest) spray park/ play ground.



we went to the "jumping fountains" in old town. where we make crocs fly.

Catch Up

could also be titled...long gone, long time no blog, dropped of the face of the earth... where in the world have i been? everywhere! we've been out of town for two looooooong weeks. we completed our 24 hour drive home on saturday. now, my house is a disaster and our week is packed. oh well! here's the first installment of pictures that i never had time to post while gone. chuck-e-cheese with my brothers' family.

after surviving the almost 21 hour car trip to indiana, we all have been cutting loose with jon's brother's family.



they are the wildest, funnest, loudest motley crew around, and we LOVE it!



d and i shopped (which is what we do best quite frankly), drank coffee and re-decorated.



ryan helped jon repair all of our broken electronics, and work on the car. he's good for lots of things. engineers.



after 2 seriously foggy overcast days, today was gorgeous enough for short sleeves in the sunshine. ahhh...

Purple Mountains

yesterday we took my parents to estes park and rocky mountian national park. the mountains were so beautiful. they were covered with snow, and, since it was about to snow, they almost looked purple.

Busy

thing have definitely been busy around here! friday, jack was in his preschool play. he was a shephard.



he was apparently thrilled (that's a yawn, not him singing).



late saturday night, my parents got in town!!



we've all been having so much fun together. family makes christmas christmas.



the boys have been having the most fun though! papa has been taking them on walks, to the playground, teaching them how to use tools in the garage, reading them books...
