Impromtu

our good friends that we went through support raising with (they're in athletes in actions' basketball department) got to come stay with us last night! they had some flight issues (understatement) flying in from ohio on their way to crested butte, and we benefited! their two boys brady and cal are about the same ages of our boys. so fun!!!

Sneaky Trip...

soooo...to all of my tyler friends...i'm SO SORRY! i snuck into town for 2 and 2 half short days this weekend. my best friend hallie (and that's kristen on the left) had her first (long expected) baby girl sunday night, and yes, i had just left that afternoon - classic!

Soccer Sunday

sunday morning (we went to church saturday night), we headed out to watch 2 of our favorite babysitters play club soccer. they're both seniors...and really good!



we got donuts on the way which is always exciting...chocolate with sprinkles are highly requested, seldom obtained.

Girlfriends

if you're wondering why i haven't been blogging, this post may fill you in a little.  in preparation for our move (on sunday!!!!!!!) to colorado, i've been hooking up with all my friends for one last hurrah.  last weekend was soooo much fun! hallie (black dress, also prego), nicole (gray floral dress), kristen (black dress w/blue bottom), and i spent two nights at the westin in dallas, and then ate and shopped our way through the city!

we seriously felt like this!  we ate at la madeleine, cafe brazil, the dragonfly at hotel zaza, pei wei, and ordered room service of course!  we had extra robes sent up (and extra shampoo, conditioner, linens, and towels) and ordered in a movie!

i also got to have dinner alone with my friend nova who lives in florida now, and happened to be in texas! hurray! we stuffed ourselves on uncle julio's and talked until 1130!

today i got to see erin!  yeah!! she and olivia met us at the ft. worth zoo.  it was 84 degrees and breezy.  so fun!

Campin'

last weekend we had so much fun visiting our friends jeremy and nicole hager down in austin.  nicole's my photographer friend who is AMAZING!!!  (click on her name) jeremy and jon worked together at the church here in aledo.  he was the missions pastor, but now they're in austin in a church plant program through the austin stone (that's the name of their church)(really).

we were so excited to see them we left a day early to get more of our hager fix!  we headed out for a little brunch before we hit the campsite. don't the boys look snazzy in their "ties"?

jack was seriously high on sugar (hello... s'mores!) and led us all in a rousing game of "dead man, dead man come alive"  i have NO IDEA where that came from, but it was hilarious! then he went psycho as he ran around the site singing "the dirt song."

j and n are finn's godparents. so special to spend time with them.

nicole looks awesome... i look like i was camping all night.  what's up with that?

A New Year's Eve

Blue-eyed Buddies

is it possible for a 7 month old to have too many friends? naw! finn has as many "friends" (aka babies his age who's moms are MY friends) as jack. this is saunders. he and finns are about two weeks apart. finn is a giant next to him. they're the cool kids your kids will want to sit with at lunch someday.

Goin' Through the Big D...

...and i do mean dallas. mr. "i don't like the pool" looks pretty comfortable doesn't he? erin has THE most gorgeous backyard with THE most gorgeous pool. i think the fact that wylie the dog was swimming too helped jack get into the pool. we also saw the sweeney's. sorry heather, we never took any pictures! what were we thinking? i miss you guys! i wish we could do it more often!
