My Toes are Happy

Photobucket

hey everybody! ready to go bananas?  a couple of days ago i made the most amazing thing my toes have ever felt.  but first...

Photobucket

have you ever used these?  i pick them up every now and again in the seasoning section to have an "off" night from cooking.

Photobucket

everything just goes in the bag they provide.  amazing!  i put this together this morning and kept it in the fridge til dinner time.  it's all self contained.  meat & veggies.

Photobucket

have you seen a rice heating bag?  i just made 4!  teeheehee. i made one and jack loved it so much he begged me to make him one as well.  well, then of course finney needed one.  i was happy to oblige them, and they've been sleeping with them ever since.  then, since i was on a crazy crafting roll, i made another for good measure.  i have been sleeping with mine toasting my toes.  currently it's on my back easing my muscles.  sigh.

Photobucket

the heating bag i made for myself is larger so it used this entire bag of rice in it.

Photobucket

to make it smelly lovely, as opposed to ricey, i cut open 4 yummy smelly tea bags and added it to the rice.  stir it up.

i basically just sewed a big pillow case.  sew it inside out and then turn it out.  super simple.  you too can sew this!

Photobucket

see.  a big sack.  so i was trying really really hard to be fancy like her and make it into four little segments.  i probably could have, but i ran out of rice.  i think i just put too much in each segment.  for the boys, i literally just sewed up small squares full of rice.

Photobucket

closing up the segment.

Photobucket

so there's one.  marking the next 6 inch mark.

Photobucket

two done.  no mo rice. i debated running to the store for more, but decided just finishing was the best alternative.

Photobucket

i finished the edge with a little zig zag stitch.

Photobucket

please pardon my dirty microwave.  i did not clean it for you.  i like mine pretty toasty so i microwaved it for four minutes.

Photobucket

come to momma.

Photobucket

all tucked in! this should last about two full minutes :)  at least i didn't have to think about dinner cause...

Photobucket

it was all done ;)  looks kinda fancy.
