speaking of being a man child... here's a thought for all of you moms of boys. as hard as i try, i don't often get to sit down at meals with the boys. it's always my goal. but someone needs a spoon, a napkin, milk spilled, coffee finishes....
you know.
so the point, i often have jack lead his brothers in prayer before meals when i'm not there. if it's just finn and row, i ask finn. they always step up when asked. actually, the "pray-er" then takes all sorts of initiative. "row baby, fold your hands" "no, no finney. wait to eat." they lead their brothers in a way that is genuine, not bossy. it seems to create in them a loving, gentle leading. even if i had an older daughter, i'm pretty sure i'd ask the oldest boy. thoughts?
it's hard to stay purposeful allll daaaay loooong. and often i don't, but God never allows it to return void when i do. i love training my boys and watching them grow in wisdom, and stature, and favor with God and man (luke 2:52).
