So Here's My Story. Part Uno

my background is pretty unique. as is yours, but i've definitely not lived an average life thus far. i often don't write much on the blog because a) i don't often have the time and 2) i don't really like to talk about myself. so i'm going to take way more time than i'd like to talk about myself way more than i'm comfortable with, and you're not obligated to read it. for the sake of blog-into-book-someday-faraway i'm gonna spill my history.
my father was an officer in the army for 26 years. so that basically distinguishes my background right there. we moved. and moved. and moved. i have one older brother, and we're 18 months apart. i was born in georgia, but at 3 weeks old (bless my mother) we moved to california. from there, 3 years later, we were off to virginia. then germany, italy, new jersey and south korea where my father retired as base commander.
after korea, my parents returned to new hampshire, where my mother was from, and i finished up my last 2 years of high school. although new england is without question the most beautiful place i've ever been in our country, the winter is brutal and i'm a warm sunshine and beaches kind of girl. so, at 17 , i set off for baylor university in texas.
i began baylor in the long brutally hot summer of 1996 as a biology major. after, oh, 3 or so years of adjusting to texas.... i decided that my priority in life was not to have a career but to be a mother. that led to a major change into nursing and a move to dallas for baylor nursing school.
nursing school was horrid, but i made some of the closest friends of my life to date, and met jon (in dallas not nursing school). not too shabby and worth all the pain. stay tuned for more.
