Front Living Room - Where We're At Now

there are currently 3 wild indians running circles around the house with chocolate ice cream goatees and no shirts, and they're supposed to be getting jammies on.  sugarland's "stuck like glue" is blasting.  glorious chaos.
speaking of...chaos that is, here's our front living room.  it's picked up, but don't assume that is normally.  it's gloriously chaotic most of the time.

here's a pic i took after painting the walls and hanging a couple of things, but before the trim, front doors and fireplace were white.  i think you'll notice what a huge difference that made to make it bright and so pretty.

now white:

a bit further back from the current toy room...

and from the other end of the room before the trim painting:

and now (from the hall):

so here's a mirror that i earned in exchange for a photo shoot last fall.
it's super pretty, and fit the space well, but the gold tones were obviously off.

Photobucket

so i had my eye on this mirror from z.gallerie.  it's $269 though....kinda not gonna happen.  it's so pretty though and would look better than the gold of this mirror.

Photobucket

ok, so look what i found at ole faithful t.j. maxx:

Photobucket

crazy! it's a slightly smaller version which is actually perfect.  it was $79, and it was mine, until...i cut my finger picking it up to put it in the cart because there were a couple of spots where the mirror was broken or cracked.  needless to say, i asked for a discount and they knocked it down to $50! done.  next up is spraying those sconces silver.

Photobucket

so pretty, bright and light.

Photobucket

i like the pink back there :)

Photobucket

hey ya'll!

from the front door into the dining room:

the psalm we memorized for our wedding:

looking towards the now white front doors.  someday it'd be nice to find something with out such a draft and 1970's haute couture.  i don't even have a clue what i'd put in.

Photobucket

cord covers out of remnant fabric cover the lamp cords in the front living room.

Photobucket

remnant fabric pillows i whipped up once upon a time on benches by the front door:

Photobucket

the bay window looks ridiculous all painted white.  it's amazing what you can do with paint.

Photobucket

i actually made these curtains for our bedroom, but they're good stand-ins for the meantime.

Photobucket

i mean, can you really go wrong with a little zebra?
