finn's had a bit of a cold coming on lately so i hooked him up with some "cough syrup" that's basically glorified honey and some vick's rub.
i think he's become addicted. he asks for "body rub" all the time, and he wants to put it on himself so he can smell his fingers after. wierd, i know. but it does smell good...
jack got his very own "real" bible last week. now that he can read ( ;) ) jon took him after school to pick out any bible he wanted and a super cool cover and highlighters too. he started in daniel. his choice.
it's been so fun to see him excited about God's word. getting the bible was actually his idea. he wants us to wake him up to come read with us at 6 every morning. jon and i usually roll out of bed, flip the coffee maker switch and read on the couch with one little lamp burning. sometimes, jack would beat us up and we'd find him reading his kids bible in our spot. it's fun to have him join us now and read alongside us. such sweet special time. cuddled next to each other under a favorite blanket.
in other news, we our first snow last week. after i got jack bundled up for school, i got the little boys bundled up for the back yard. the worst part is putting their gloves on. what's worse is rowan pulls them off like 5 minutes later and you have to redo it.
i watched from inside.
this snow was actually so big and so early that trees and branches are down all over town. it's quite the ordeal.
finn took that as an opportunity to throw snowballs "at me" and then lick the snow off the door. gross.
ahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha! snow!!
rowan is hilarious. he's the biggest character.
he loves snow and being cold.
at mexican restaurants, he takes chips and dips them in salsa and sucks it off then goes back for more.
he says "sorry" and "thank you" when you change his diaper.
he loves to wear other peoples shoes or boots which is particularly cute when he only has a diaper on.
he loves lotion smeared on him.
yeah, i know. i've got it good with this one.
finn knows too.
