Pumpkin Patch

a trip to the pumpkin patch this morning wouldn't have been complete without stopping in to a redneck restaurant just north of town for a cinnamon roll the size of your head.

i'm not even kidding...

we always make eggs before we go so there's not a crazy blood sugar plummet immediately following.

jack's school is getting all the proceeds of pumpkin sales from this patch.  we were so surprised when we found out that a family from our church owns the farm!

the pumpkins were HUGE and 5 bucks for any one you find.  one would naturally try to find the largest possible pumpkin.  how fun?! jack tried to find a small one.  go figure ;)

what's that in the distance? why the budwieser plant of course.

not small enough.  if jack has to make his own decision he takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r.  it has to be the right choice.  can't mess it up.

i love having a constant backdrop of foothills.

i cut my hair a while back.  something new for fall.  fresh.  she took ALOT off.  i mean, i wanted her to.  but it was aloooot.

the cutest little cuddlebug.

cayenne (farm owner's wife, goes to our church, has kids at liberty) also let us take a bunch of corn stalks.  i was so excited!  i had been wanting some for decorating out front, but didn't know where to get them or how much they'd cost.  free works for me! what a blessing!
