Playin' School

i picked up this old school desk wednesday at a flea market in town.  i saw it and thought for sure it'd be crazy expensive, but checked the tag anyway.  it said $19.99 "price firm." well okay.  i can handle a firm 20 bucks.  it actually made me laugh out loud as if someone would argue with the price.

jack is for sure an organizer and craves a little space of his own away from his little brothers so he's been arranging and rearranging in it ever since.

i realize that i've never really mentioned the entire wall of bookshelves that have appeared in the room, but the reality is they look crazy, and throughout all of the moves we've ditched most of our books so i don't know what to do with them all so they're basically empty.  and the backs were supposed to be black, but they're like a navy and they're not getting taken apart and redone so i don't know what's going on with it all right now.

well, the desk has resulted in a new kind of play around here called "school" which has consisted of rowan and finn going to the principles office and taking notes home to their mom to get signed.  you play what you know right?  that's a whole other story, but you can probably imagine.

rowan getting a stern talking to and being "written up."

this unruly student won't get his finger out of his nose.  want to feel better about your kids?  just keep reading about mine.

yes, that's my signature.  don't be a hater, i was a registered nurse for years before i had jack.  signing papers all day long would do this to you too.
