after two years at the same school, i'm finally convinced he's where he needs to be ;)
we're more than ready to kick off summer, and get going on pajama days and chillin' out.
i took the littles to the library the other day. i'm a bad library mom. maybe that will change now that they're getting older and they don't all pull books off of every shelf leaving a literary trail behind them ;) while we were there, we scored three summer reading charts. jack read for a full hour before school today and three hours last evening! all for a glow-in-the-dark frisbee. it works for me.

they've been addicted to coloring in their stars for every 30 minutes of reading.

jon and i were able to sneak off to jack's school monday to see all of the first grade "ocean" projects. we found the above owl in the hall for teacher appreciation week. all of the other owls said things like "dear mrs. olson, thank you for teaching me math. i love math."
jack's says, "whoos the coolest, whoos the fairest, mrs. olson yay"
that's definitely my child.

there was no question that jacks mom did not help him on his project. he did it all on his own and it was awesome. go manatees.

the parents got to walk through all of the class rows and hear the kids talk about their ocean animal.

low cut socks and cool kicks.

jack and i put together some little goodies for his classmates.

we took some string lying around...

printed a little tag...

bought a bunch of twirly straws...

and kool-aid packets (sorry moms)...

and assembled it all together. jack did almost all the work.
