eight is great
we had such a good time celebrating mr. crazy on st. patrick's day.
jack had been dying for a drum set.
so, like any good parent would do, we bought a drum set for our 8 (and 5 and 3) year old.

rowan and finn woke up before the rest of us, and as soon as jack was up rowan yelled, "jackie! you got your drum set!"
it had been killing them not to get to try it out, but wise dad didn't put it together knowing that assembling the thing would be half the fun for jack.

it's seriously cool.
happy, happy, happy, happy
after an early morning of banging out beats, we went to this place outside of denver called "jump street."
it's an indoor land of trampolines.
on the walls, on the floors, trampolines into foam pits, trampoline dodgeball, dunking basketballs from trampolines, TRAMPOLINES, TRAMPOLINES, TRAMPOLINES!
mommy could not jump on the trampolines for....."medical reasons."
some of you know the reason of which i speak.
it's a "mommy" thing, just trust me.
the awesome and amazing karen came with us (you remember, she lives with us and is an intern with AIA).
jack begged asked her to come with.
who can say no to a world of trampolines?!
rowan longed to be old enough for the foam pit.
and rightly so.
it was rad.
done.
wiped.
kaput.
after this crazy place, we went somewhere even crazier.
seriously.
casa bonita (or as finn called it taco bonito which i think has a better ring to it).
if you've never been...go.
it's like a mexican chuck-e cheese only even better than that. google it. there was a three story high waterfall inside the building with a guy that would dive into the 14 ft deep pool below the restaurant. games, shows, cotton candy, the worst mexican food you'll ever eat ever. so much fun.
happy birthday to jack.
