Rowan

i spent the majority of my day today re-building this:

i love building legos.
i've been known to reset the bedtime timer a time or two to keep playing with the guys.
just 10 more minutes....ok, just 10 more....you guys want to keep going? ok, 5 more minutes. then we're seriously going to bed!
what can a girl say?
legos are rad.
and addicting.
like the colonel's chicken ($10 to anyone who knows that reference).

on to rowan.
currently he's standing on the potty.
backwards.
because that's how he goes #2...
naturally.

have you ever heard of gary smalley's "who's who in the zoo?"
he describes people based on the personalities of four different animals - lion, otter, beaver, golden retreiver.

last night, after rowan was in bed, the big guys and i were laying on my bed, staring at the ceiling, and i was describing the different personalities to them.

lion - natural leader, take charge
otter - life of the party, spirited, super adventurous
beaver - organized, meticulous, detailed
retriever - loyal, sensitive, great friend

i told the boys what jon and i are.
jon - retreiver/ beaver
me - otter/ lion

then i had them guess what they thought they were.

rowan was the only one they pegged right and right away.

hands down - OTTER

he's such a little fluff ball of joy.
we all still call him baby.
it's hard not to love rowan.

QUIP O'THE DAY
when i was growing up, my favorite candy bars were whatchamacallit's, but now i don't like candy bars at all.
