What We Did One Day

jon has been training to run the horsetooth half marathon.
it's a series of CRAZY hills and it's not for the faint of heart (or the novice runner).
we've dropped jon off at the start a couple of times to have a go at conquering it.

while jon did his thing, we had an hour and a half to kill.
since we were in the mountains already, it only made sense to hike.

then swing through the fish hatchery on the way to our rendezvous spot.

jon's run ended at our favorite rock throwing spot.

the fellas are all feeling the outdoors thing a bit more.
less whining about traipsing through the great outdoors means more traipsing through the great outdoors in our future.
assuming our summer will consist of more of these adventures, we decided to start "adventure jars" to fill with memory rocks from our traipsing times.

jelly jars, spaghetti jars, stickers, googly eyes...

good times.

QUIP O'THE DAY
i don't drink milk or eat eggs.  Just don't like 'em. You can't make me try.
