rowan loves chattin' with jon on the phone.
whenever things start getting a little wild around here (more than the usual wild) i yell, "every man to the couch with a book!" and things calm down. at least until the timer rings.
jon trimmed back on of the trees in the front, and it's now a climbing tree. jack spent his entire extra 15 reading up in the tree one night.
think that carrot's ready to be picked?! sometimes i get lazy about actually picking the things that've grown in the garden.
not so the tomatoes! i've had fresh bruschetta from the tomatoes and basil in the garden most every day.
finn loves "girl" legos for some reason. i think it's the animals...and the music on the lego friends website. he bought his first set a week ago out of his money. they are pretty cute. i totally get it.
if you've got to cook dinner you might as well make it fun...
and play good music. there's nothing better than a glass of wine and "mambo italiano" on pandora to make supper time super time.
i took a friend's family pictures on our couch in the back yard. the boys thought that was the new home for the couch. if only it could stay. why is it so fun to have a piece of indoor furniture out of doors? i don't know, but it definitely is.
when the coloring sheet came home that finn did on the first day of kindergarten this is what it looked like. it was so neatly colored, and then...what happened exactly?
there was a map (?) on the back.
remember when i took jack fishing a few weeks ago? well, we were just going to this little pond by his school. i debated with jon whether i should bother to buy the liscense or not. we decided that i should, and i should teach jack about integrity and talk him through how even little lapses in integrity (like not buying a fishing liscense) don't honor God.
and now, i have a hot almond poppy seed muffin that just came out of the oven that i need to eat.
QUIP O'THE DAY
i HATE taking vitamins. it's not hard. all you have to do is swallow them. it just takes
