it all started with finding a stash of candy canes.

that led to christmas carols and making some decorations.

which led to hanging them on a "christmas tree" and topping it off with a paper airplane and hanging candy canes.

naturally, a tree needs wrapped presents underneath it.

rowan really wanted the presents.

frosty the snowman seemed like a natural choice in books.

what's christmas lunch without green milk?

just before naptime, we popped popcorn and watched the polar express.
merry christmas!
merry christmas!

what a fun day! a "tradition" the boys will remember: their mom was creative and always up for anything, willing to make finding some leftover candy an entire day of fun!
My mom used to make us colored milk all the time when we were kids! I think she ever used to add a little vanilla or mint flavoring. I hope to do it someday with Coen. Nice to see other good mommas out there! :)
