we embarked on a journey last friday after kindergarten. i won't bore you with too many details, but know that if something were to go wrong...it generally did. par for the course i suppose. let's just say, no hotel reservation found when we showed up at bedtime, our portable dvd player was fed a penny and bit the dust, double ear infection & rsv, psychotically crowded zoo day, birthday cake conundrum, and two hour time difference. all in all though it was awesome!

it took 18 hours to get there and another to make it home. we have travel theories...they're good. i'll share them sometime.

let's just start the bad picture taking (and lack thereof) with this doozy. i have no idea what is going on here.

birthday money. i told jack to make that face. money, money, money!!!!

jack had a redneck chuck-e cheese 6th birthday! he had the option to have a party with school friends at home or chuck-e cheese with sadie...he chose, wisely.

ok, it was really fun and laid back. the dads, i mean kids, had a blast.

jack also opted for the chocolate chocolate chuck-e cheese birthday cake instead of a store cake upon being given the option.

we all dressed up for the party.

our "sketch"

amy & luke. hallie & sadie.

presents!

fist bumpin' my baby.

the hagers, hanveys and wallaces. our best friends. everyone is in some sort of full-time ministry somewhere. planting a church, pine cove and athletes in action. it's a pretty special group. the wives all love each other (and got to spend the night shopping, eating out and sleeping in a camp speaker cabin) and the guys all love each other too.
