layed out on a blanket, gazing at the clouds.

jack made a "telescope" it consists of parts of our old door bell, duct tape and an old toilet flusher.
finn carried it all over and around the yard looking for stars and clouds. not much of either to be seen.

so relaxing and quiet. there were dragonflys fluttering and crickets chirping. warm and beautiful. the glittering sunset sparkled in the trees. I couldn't help but teach my boys about God's character. i love telling the boys about God's immense creativity. especially since jack is one of the most creative people i know. it's a way he's created in God's image :)
we talked about how God could have chosen to just have the sun and moon go up and down, but instead it's colorful and glittering and breathtakingly beautiful through the trees and behind the clouds.

airplane!

woohoo!

we sang worship songs together for a long time.
we talked about prayer and thanked the Lord for the things in our life.
and giggled.

it got dark, but we never saw stars.
we finally had to give in and go in.
