christmas boxes rolling in on the doorstep are so exciting, no? even i can't wait to just rip into them and see what's in them.

the only fun thing about living far from every single family member.

ok, so who let this kids hair get this long? oh wait, that would be me. teeheehee. do you cut your family's hair? i've been cutting jon's hair since we were dating i think so that would be pushing 12 years. i just kind of got in the groove and kept on going with the boys. would i cut my kids hair if they were girls? not quite sure. likely though.
the problem with being the family barber is that i rarely feel like dragging out the scissors, sweeping up the hair, listening to the complaints about itchiness & following the whole thing up with baths (to wash away the itchies). when i think about how much we'd be spending on 4 extra haircuts though i suck it up and get it done. apparently just not often enough.

seeeerrrriiiooouuusssssllllyyy jack! his hair is soooooo shaggy! and not in a purposeful justin beiber kind of way.

normally i take them in the backyard for their trims so i don't have to sweep. i refrained from popping them out in the snow though (mostly selfish reasons), wrapped them up and sprayed them down.

ya know what, don't let your children get started drinking water from their hair spray bottles. they may, at times, get them confused with with cleaners. remember you were warned. fortunately we use Shacklee cleaning products so it's never been scary.

all trimmed up! and looking good. one down.

teehee. #2. so proud to get a cut like his big bros.

3 down

jack's itching.

at the white elephant exchange with our AIA students i "stole" a football "signed" by tim tebow. it reads "God Bless, Tim Tebow #15" niiiiice. i got it so finn and i can toss around. it's my prayer that he'd be bold about his faith like timmy ;)

our advent nights are the best. i've written about them before, but really they're the sweetest times after dinner. Advent allows Jesus to overshadow anything else the christmas season may try to be.

ya gotta get the book. we bought a used one for $0.01. and don't allow the busy to overtake the nights.
