well, if you're showing up from nesters holiday tour of homes, i'm a day late but glad to be here none the less. due to a rough bout of food poisoning tuesday, i feel like i'm completely behind in every area. every square inch of every floor in the house is covered in every type of toy we own. it's fun to be messy for a couple of days, but i'm pretty much over it now.

our milk came yesterday with a happy little holiday tag. little things like that just make the ordinary special don't they? it's a good reminder. i don't know if michael is the owner or our delivery truck driver, but i'm thankful for him either way :)

i'd love to be enjoying a spot of tea with you while you tour! i take mine with cream and 3 lumps of sugar. i don't know why, but i only use sugar cubes in my tea. hmmmm...

we finished boxing up packages last evening, and jon ran them out bright and early to our local post office in the farmer's market. no lines at 7 am.

they went out with our gaggle of cards. 225 this year to be exact. i know it sounds crazy, but we have 160 supporters of our ministry so it ups the ante. they sure are cute. i'll post the card after everyone's gotten them :)

sticker seals of a taste of what's inside.

since we're in the kitchen, here's my "kitchen goodie tree" it's lacking a little something. maybe ribbon next year?

it makes me happy while i'm doing dishes 5 times a day. oh look! there are some more for me to do now.

my little tree forest needed some oomph. that came by way of stringing lights on top of the buffet and covering them with "snow". "snow" came by way of me cutting open a throw pillow and pulling out the batting. teehee. cost free!

a funky little tree in the boys room they got to decorate themselves without me re-decorating it :)

deer dancing across the mantel with more lights and "snow".

they hold the funky stockings i love so much.

last year they were gold. this year, i sprayed them black. unfortunately, i left them outside to dry overnight but it snowed that night. what is this?! colorado?! oh wait, it is. the black started to goo off.

we can address that next year.

so here's everyone's favorite tree.

i hand knit those ornaments.

just kidding. no i didn't.

i picked up the silver tub at home depot to give it a little height.

walk through the snow. or dance. or skip. or run!

tree in the dining room. when you look at the front of the house you see both trees in the front windows. it's so pretty at night.

advent is our favorite part of the holiday season. focusing our hearts on Jesus every single night leading up to christmas.

these two characters were following me all around for my photographic journey this morning.

buffet in the dining room.

i just recently made these little moss balls by hot gluing "reindeer moss" onto styrofoam balls i had lying around. i like it. i like it alot.

lest you think too highly of me or feel like your house is in bad shape. here's what i've been strategically taking pics around. a bed. in the living room. everyone should actually have a bed in their living room. it's sweeping the nation replacing couches. well, we just bought it yesterday off of one of our students who's moving, but it's a good thought. oh, and there are like i said a couple of toys on the floor. and pj'd children loitering with bed head at 11:15.
now i can't wait to come see everyone else's homes!!!! merry christmas!

just LOVE your whimsical style!
ok, the buffet and pics are looking so good. and for some reason, i don't remember all the trees. you are so much better than me at this. it's been slow on the decor this year. sad.
i want the white tree, though!
You have a beautiful home and absolutely elegant and FUN style but what I love the best about you is that you willingly show that you're not perfect (and neither is your living room!) Makes me want to take two steps back with my camera and photograph the mess that usually surrounds me! : )
your home is beautiful! I know nothing about children in pjs with bed head at 11:15. Nothing. wink wink;-)
merry christmas!
love this!
I need some of your energy girl! I know your home isn't perfect, but it's beautiful!!! Love all your ideas and the creative things you do with your boys! Still jealous that you're in CO and I'm not! HA!
Love how you've decorated your home, all the trees look great.
I love the "goodie" tree in your kitchen! Such a cute idea!
I love everything!
I Love that you are keepen it "fo realz" at your house, with the bed, toys on the floor, etc... been there. I am in love with that red and white tree. For some reason I am loving things that resemble the red and white of candy canes, striped stockings, etc. I try to move on and get sucked back in every year. :)
wow, your home is so fun! i love the goodie tree, too and the mantle- those ruffled stockings mixed with the red and white accents are awesome!
Such beautiful trees. (I do love the white one.) And cute little tots.
