6 kids and a Garden to Come

i'm keeping my friends 3 girls for the weekend, and i'm blogging.  jon's at a mens leadership thing at church, and really you'd think i wouldn't be blogging, but putting out fires.  currently though they're all paired off by age and playing great so i stole a brief moment.  they've really all been very good.  don't you sometimes find it easier to have other kids around cause they all just run off and play together instead of wrapping themselves around your legs begging for something?

did i tell you why we went out of town?  it was for jon's youngest sister's wedding.  she got married in louisville, kentucky, but we took two weeks and made the rounds of seeing all the midwestern family.

finn and sofie (10 days apart) (!)  could hardly stand waiting for the cake.  i was scared to death finn was going to dip a little finger in it.

rowan looked dapper in an Eton suit.

Photobucket

is the editing around my eyes too obvious? yes? well, i'm in a picture with my completely gorgeous 16 year old niece so...guilty.

Photobucket

they're cousins so it's okay.  actually, that sounds worse.  they really do love each other though.

Photobucket

meaghan, the un-edited version.

yesterday i began my gardening adventure.  by "began" i mean i invested $25 on seeds and starters.  i've been known to have a black thumb, so i have fairly low expectations.  still it would be fun to work on with my 3 little farmers.

Photobucket

i really hope these heirlooms grow.  i hear tomatoes are easy?

Photobucket

herbs are supposed to be hardy too...

Photobucket

i'm basically growing a salad.

Photobucket

had to get some pretties too.

Photobucket

i scored a new trike at goodwill for $5.99 in indiana so we carted it home and the boys, who are way too big for them, are leaving black marks on the floors and doors.

Photobucket

ok, back to the kids. i suppose i should feed them or they may turn on me in mutiny.

What a fun post. Loved all the pictures but the last one is my very favorite. :-)
