Starbucks Date & Pudding Pops

i asked jon as we started this semester if he'd consider taking one morning a week where he started later in order to have a family date after dropping jack off at school.  he graciously agreed, and we headed to the starbucks in old town out this morning for our first one. 





we got a french press for $3.50 to split ourselves and the boys shared a donut.  a french press has about 3 grandes in it.  fun inexpensive date :)

a couple of days ago, after school, we made some pudding pops.  they were simple and yummy and fun for the boys to help with although it'd be a much faster, neater process done alone :) but who needs fast and neat right??  start with one package of instant jello pudding.



2 cups of milk, with more added after for your child to drink and blow bubbles with.



whip it good (am i allowed to say that?)



1 cup cool whip



fold it in



you're going to need dixie cups and popsicle sticks



fill the cups with the pudding mixture, making a huge mess and licking lots of pudding.  which is really no problem at all.  hey! is that money on the counter?!?! where'd that come from, and where did it go?!?!



karen, our AIA intern/ basement renter, came up to make pops with us.



pop them all in the freezer for at least a couple of hours.
