Memoirs of Childhood

Sunshine

it has been sunny and warm for days on end with no sign of snow.  i have officially emerged out of the house.  i just got back from an hour long walk along the trails of fort collins, and it seems that everyone feels the same way.  there were runners and walkers and bikers of all ages soakin' up some sun.

finn has his first soccer game today, and when we signed him up to play i thought there was no way he'd be playing outdoor soccer in march.  (hannah, i keep thinking of you with him starting soccer! just better not get any concussions)

i feel a new wind of adventure in my near future.  rowan and finn have hit their imaginative stride together, and it's so so fun.  today we pulled finn from the fiery furnace of a garbage site and rode a boat to stay out of the sea and away from the sea creatures.  i feel like we haven't played this way since jack started school full time.  i miss the imagination.  now the two littles are full of it.

i'm so excited to get spring on the inside of the house now too.  i can't believe how soon easter will be here.  i really better get to work on kicking out the winter.  i love putting on fresh cotton sheets, and opening up the windows.  who knows, i may even go all out and light some fresh spring candles.  crazier things have happened.
