the boys are all lined up on the couch behind me laughing their heads off to something on tv. they keep rewinding it and watching it over and over and cracking UP over and over. it's awesome. jon's working the press box at the colorado state u. home football game so the little lads are munching on bowls of fish sticks and tater tots on the couch.
i keep having all of these ideas to blog on, but i just can't find the time. hmmm. even five days of fever with nothing to do but lie, i still can't get to blogging. we've also been doing tons of work to the house, and are finally hitting the pause button on projects. in honor of that....i'm declaring next week "latest tour of meaghan's house week" maybe i'll shoot for a room-a-day-a-thon.
in other news, honeycrisp apples are back in stores for all. i'm eating one right now. yummmmm
in other other news, we haven't had a working microwave in 3 months. did you know that everything you can microwave can be heated up on the stove top and in the oven? amazing. ;)
in still more news, both big boys had eye appointments yesterday and are in need of new lenses yet again. finn in particular could hardly see a thing apparently. so sad. how is one to know? it seems after being the second owner of his cute blue glasses they are finally at a point where the lenses can't be replaced. we'll be calling our favorite children's optical shop in california yet again for some sweet little frames for his sweet little face.
and lastly, we have a peach tree littering our back yard.
like, massively littering. we never pruned it because we didn't know it was a peach tree. we do now and have been researching via google what to do with it next year to actually get some big, edible, juicy peaches for jams and cobblers and such.
the boys have been filling buckets full of them for jon and earning a couple of dollars in the process. today, they took their cash to the toy store for new lego purchases. the worker earns his wages.
some workers are more diligent than others.
