i love summer time fun. i want seasons to feel special and distinct. i remember the feeling of my mom switching my sheets to my "summer" sheets as a little girl, and it was too light to sleep, and i could hear other kids outside still.
i love having damp bathing suits hanging around and a bright light filled room for tubtime.
tonight we spiced up splash time a bit.

i took the boys entire bag of play balls and dumped them on top of them in the tub. they thought it was hilarious.
rowan wasn't digging the balls in with him, but he loved playing on the outside.
really he just liked tossing them in the hole left from the planter. did you know that there was a 2 1/2 foot deep planter full of 30 year old dirt in the bathroom. mm-hmm, there was. there was a smattering of faux flowers hiding it, but it was there.
my bath philosophy is let them go nuts and lay a towel on the floor to sop up the overflow. it works for me.
